Job Description
Join the Shell Australia team in Alice Springs as a Driveway Attendant! This entry-level casual support role is perfect for individuals looking to start their career in retail and customer service. No prior experience is required, as comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided to ensure you are confident and capable in your role. You’ll be a friendly face for our customers, assisting them with their needs and ensuring a clean and welcoming service station environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet customers and offer assistance with fuel and other forecourt services.
- Assist customers with refuelling if requested, strictly adhering to all safety protocols.
- Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the forecourt, fuel pumps, and surrounding areas.
- Perform general site maintenance tasks as directed by the supervisor, contributing to a safe and pleasant environment.
- Provide excellent customer service, accurately answering queries and directing customers to in-store facilities when appropriate.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures at all times.
- Support store operations by assisting with light stock rotation or general duties as needed.
Required Skills
- Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and procedures.
- Good verbal communication skills to interact clearly with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for extended periods and light lifting (up to 10kg).
Preferred Qualifications
- Current Australian Driver's License.
- Basic understanding of fuel safety procedures (full training will be provided upon hire).
- First Aid certification (desirable but not essential).
