Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and curious Battery Technology & Energy Storage Intern to join our innovative research and development team in Bristol. You will work alongside world-class engineers and scientists, contributing to projects focused on next-generation battery materials, cell design, and energy storage systems. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and execution of laboratory experiments related to battery materials and cell characterization.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze experimental data using various software tools.
  • Support the research and evaluation of novel battery chemistries and energy storage concepts.
  • Contribute to the development and testing of battery prototypes under guidance.
  • Maintain detailed records of experimental procedures and results.
  • Participate in team meetings and present findings, observations, and ideas.
  • Support general lab operations, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.

Required Skills

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated strong academic performance and a keen interest in battery technology, electrochemistry, or energy storage.
  • Basic understanding of scientific principles and research methodologies.
  • Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., Excel) and willingness to learn more advanced tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with laboratory equipment, even from academic projects or coursework.
