Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team in Port Pirie as Berry Sorters for casual day shifts. This is an entry-level position involving light work, perfect for those looking for flexible hours in a supportive environment. As a Berry Sorter, you will be responsible for inspecting, sorting, and packing fresh berries, ensuring only the highest quality produce meets our standards. Full training will be provided, so no prior experience is necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect fresh berries for quality, ripeness, and defects.
- Carefully sort berries according to size, color, and grade.
- Efficiently pack berries into designated containers.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production targets.
- Report any quality issues or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform repetitive light tasks with attention to detail.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene principles (training provided).
