Job Description
Join our vibrant catering team as an Entry Level Catering Assistant! This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to start their career in the food service industry, specifically working within an educational setting during term time. No prior experience is required – we will provide comprehensive training to equip you with all the skills needed to succeed. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food services, contributing to a positive dining experience for students and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision
- Serve food to customers in a friendly and efficient manner
- Set up and clear dining areas and food service stations
- Wash dishes, utensils, and maintain kitchen cleanliness
- Restock supplies and ensure proper inventory levels
- Operate basic kitchen equipment safely and effectively after training
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards
- Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and assisting patrons
- Support the catering team with various tasks as needed during peak times
Required Skills
- Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment

- Reliability and punctuality
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs (occasionally)
