Job Description
We are seeking an exceptionally strategic and results-oriented Chief Operations Officer (COO) to join our executive team in Halifax. This critical role will oversee and optimize all operational aspects of our Executive Relocation & Visa services, ensuring seamless delivery, client satisfaction, and market leadership. The COO will be instrumental in driving efficiency, scaling operations, managing risk, and fostering innovation within a rapidly evolving global mobility landscape. This position demands a visionary leader with a deep understanding of international compliance, logistical complexities, and high-touch client service within an executive context.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic operational plans to achieve business objectives for the Executive Relocation & Visa division.
- Oversee the end-to-end operational processes for executive relocations, including logistics, immigration, tax, and cultural assimilation support.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of global mobility professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Identify and implement operational efficiencies and technological enhancements to streamline workflows and improve service delivery.
- Manage critical vendor relationships and partnerships to ensure high-quality service and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure strict compliance with all international immigration laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics, providing regular reports and actionable insights to the executive board.
- Develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring financial targets are met while maintaining service quality.
- Act as a primary point of escalation for complex operational issues and high-profile client cases.
- Drive continuous process improvement initiatives and foster a culture of innovation within the operational teams.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in operations management, preferably within global mobility, relocation services, or a related international business sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in executive relocation logistics, international immigration, and visa processes across multiple jurisdictions.
- Proven track record of strategic planning and execution, delivering significant operational improvements and growth.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop diverse teams.
- Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management and cost control.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Superior communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with C-level executives and international stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of regulatory compliance in international HR and global mobility.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field.
- Professional certifications in Global Mobility (e.g., GMS, CRP).
- Experience with CRM and global mobility software solutions.
- Fluency in multiple languages.
- Experience managing operations across different cultural contexts.
