Job Description

This entry-level position is perfect for individuals looking to start a rewarding career in early childhood education, with no prior experience required. We believe in nurturing talent, which is why we provide comprehensive on-the-job training, dedicated mentorship, and full study support to help you achieve your Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. You’ll gain practical experience working alongside experienced educators, learning best practices in child development, activity planning, and creating engaging learning environments. Key Responsibilities
- Assist qualified educators in supervising and engaging children in daily activities.
- Support the implementation of educational programs and play experiences.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe, clean, and stimulating learning environment.
- Observe and document children's progress and development under guidance.
- Assist with meal times, rest periods, and personal care routines.
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and team members.
- Participate actively in ongoing training and professional development.
- Adhere to Goodstart Early Learning policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Required Skills
- Genuine passion for working with children and contributing to their development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Enthusiastic, reliable, and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to obtain a Working With Children Check (WWCC) and National Police Check.
- Basic computer literacy for administrative tasks and learning modules.
- Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, or have the right to work in Australia.
Preferred Qualifications
- Some prior volunteer experience with children (e.g., babysitting, sports coaching).
- Basic First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain immediately).
- Understanding of basic child development principles.
