Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in Watford. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and analysis of civil engineering infrastructure projects, including earthworks, foundations, drainage, and utility networks.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, ensuring timely and cost-efficient delivery.
- Conduct technical reviews of designs, calculations, and specifications, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering their professional development.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, feasibility studies, and tender documents.
- Ensure all work adheres to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Identify and implement innovative engineering solutions to complex challenges.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in civil engineering design and project delivery.
- Proficiency in civil design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, MXROAD).
- Strong understanding of UK civil engineering standards, codes, and regulations.
- Proven experience in managing complex civil infrastructure projects from conception to completion.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with a recognized professional institution (e.g., ICE).
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a specialized relevant field.
- Experience with BIM (Building Information Modelling) methodologies.
- Experience in sustainable design practices.
