Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Computer Vision Engineer to join our innovative R&D team in Stockport. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement computer vision algorithms for object detection, tracking, classification, and scene understanding in various mobility applications.
- Evaluate and select appropriate deep learning models and traditional computer vision techniques to solve complex problems.
- Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient software for real-time computer vision systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and data scientists, to integrate vision systems into broader solutions.
- Conduct extensive testing, validation, and performance optimization of vision algorithms.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in computer vision, machine learning, and AI, and propose innovative solutions.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations on research findings and system designs.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Python and/or C++ programming languages.
- Strong understanding of computer vision fundamentals (e.g., image processing, feature extraction, object detection).
- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or OpenCV.
- Familiarity with various computer vision tasks including object recognition, segmentation, and tracking.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
- Experience with embedded vision systems and real-time constraints.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for deploying AI models.
- Experience with sensor fusion techniques (e.g., LiDAR, Radar, Camera).
- Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git.
- Publications in top-tier computer vision conferences or journals.
