Job Description
Join our team at Sainsbury’s in Witney as a Part-time Retail Stock Mover. This is a crucial role ensuring our store shelves are always stocked and looking great for our customers. You will be responsible for receiving deliveries, moving stock from the warehouse to the shop floor, and ensuring products are displayed correctly. We’re looking for reliable individuals who are comfortable with physical work and can commit to regular day shifts. If you’re organised, have a keen eye for detail, and enjoy being part of a busy retail environment, we’d love to hear from you. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unload deliveries, checking for accuracy and damages.
- Efficiently move stock from the stockroom to the sales floor.
- Replenish shelves, ensuring products are faced up and correctly priced.
- Rotate stock to ensure older items are sold first, checking expiry dates.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised stockroom and sales floor.
- Assist customers with queries or locating products when required.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and store procedures.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to lift and move heavy items regularly.
- Reliability and excellent timekeeping.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in stock handling.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail or warehouse environment.
- Basic understanding of stock rotation and merchandising principles.
