Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Data Scientist specializing in AI and Machine Learning to join our innovative team in Margate, Kent. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement advanced machine learning models and algorithms to solve business problems across various domains.
- Clean, preprocess, and analyze large, complex datasets to extract meaningful insights and identify trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders, to define project requirements and deliver robust solutions.
- Evaluate and improve the performance, accuracy, and scalability of AI/ML models.
- Develop and maintain robust MLOps practices, including model deployment, monitoring, and retraining.
- Communicate complex technical concepts and findings to both technical and non-technical audiences clearly and concisely.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and data science, and propose innovative solutions.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of our data science capabilities and mentor junior team members.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Python and its data science libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, including supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning.
- Experience with statistical modeling, experimental design, and hypothesis testing.
- Familiarity with SQL and experience working with relational databases.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP for data storage, processing, and model deployment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work with complex, unstructured data.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
- Knowledge of MLOps principles and tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow).
- Experience in a consulting environment or across multiple industries.
- Publications or active participation in the AI/ML community.
