Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Day Shift Site Hand to join our casual team in Byron Bay. This role involves assisting with various property maintenance tasks, general site upkeep, and supporting skilled tradespeople on projects. Ideal for individuals looking for flexible casual work, who are physically fit, possess a strong work ethic, and are eager to learn and contribute to a friendly local team. Full training will be provided for specific tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with general site clean-up and organization, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Move materials and equipment safely and efficiently as directed by supervisors or tradespeople.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks such as sweeping, tidying, and waste removal.
- Support tradespeople with various tasks on job sites, including fetching tools and preparing work areas.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Adhere to company policies and safety procedures at all times.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to lift and carry materials safely.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong commitment to attendance.
- Strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety (full training provided).
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar manual labor or site-based role.
- Construction Induction Card (White Card) – assistance can be provided to obtain this upon employment.
- First Aid certification.
- Valid driver's license and reliable own transport.
