Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Distance Learning Coordinator to join our team, working remotely to support public education initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in facilitating the success of online learning programs for K-12 students and educators within various public school districts. You will act as a primary point of contact, providing technical assistance, instructional support, and coordination for all aspects of distance learning. This is a fully remote position, requiring a proactive individual who can thrive in a virtual environment and contribute to innovative educational solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical and instructional support to students, parents, and educators on distance learning platforms and tools.
- Coordinate the deployment and management of online courses and educational resources.
- Assist in the development and implementation of training materials for distance learning technologies.
- Monitor student progress and engagement in online learning environments, offering proactive support when needed.
- Collaborate with school administrators and teachers to ensure seamless integration of remote learning strategies.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to online learning platforms, working with IT support as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of program participation, technical issues, and resolution steps.
- Stay updated on best practices and emerging technologies in distance education.
Required Skills
- Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, or Google Classroom.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot common software and connectivity issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in customer support or helpdesk environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Technology, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a K-12 educational setting, particularly with online or blended learning.
- Familiarity with state and national public education standards.
- Experience with educational data analysis and reporting.
