Job Description

Are you looking for an exciting summer job where you can be part of a vibrant team and enjoy the beautiful waters of Port Phillip Bay? Diving Melbourne is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Dive Boat Helpers to assist our crew during the busy summer season. This entry-level role is perfect for individuals eager to learn about marine operations, customer service, and the local dive scene. No prior diving experience is required, as full training will be provided on boat operations, safety procedures, and customer interaction. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience exploring Victoria’s stunning marine environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Skipper and Dive Masters with pre-trip preparations, including loading gear and provisioning the boat.
  • Greet and assist guests with boarding, gear setup, and general inquiries.
  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the boat throughout the day.
  • Help with serving refreshments and ensuring guest comfort.
  • Monitor guest safety on deck and assist with any emergencies under supervision.
  • Support dive staff with managing dive equipment and tanks.
  • Participate in post-trip clean-up and gear stowage.
  • Act as a friendly and helpful ambassador for Diving Melbourne.
