Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Court Support Assistant to join a vital department within the Government of Quebec. In this crucial on-site role, you will provide essential administrative and operational support to legal professionals and court staff involved in family law matters. You will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of court proceedings, assisting clients with inquiries, managing documentation, and maintaining sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality. Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to judges, lawyers, and court personnel in family court proceedings.
- Assist individuals and families navigating the family court system, providing information on procedures and forms.
- Manage and organize case files, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of all documents.
- Prepare, process, and distribute various legal documents, correspondence, and court orders.
- Schedule appointments, court hearings, and meetings, managing calendars effectively.
- Respond to inquiries from the public, legal professionals, and other stakeholders, providing accurate and helpful information.
- Maintain electronic and physical records, ensuring compliance with departmental policies and regulations.
- Liaise with internal departments and external agencies as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support court operations.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in French and English (bilingualism is often required in Quebec government roles).
- High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information sensitively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

Preferred Qualifications
- College diploma in office administration, legal assistant, or a related field.
