Job Description
Join our team in McKinney as a Dry Ice Packer, specializing in the careful packaging of perishable goods. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring that sensitive items are properly insulated with dry ice, maintaining their integrity during transit. You will work in a controlled, cold environment, and safety is our top priority. All necessary protective gear, including specialized gloves, will be provided. We are looking for reliable individuals who are attentive to detail and committed to quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately measure and pack dry ice with perishable products according to specific guidelines.
- Inspect products for quality and damage before packaging.
- Work efficiently to meet daily packing targets and deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety and hygiene protocols.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment as needed (e.g., pallet jack – training provided).
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervision.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as required.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a cold environment (temperatures typically below 40°F/4°C).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in following packing instructions.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Basic understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, production, or cold storage environment.
- Familiarity with handling perishable goods.
