Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical E-commerce Data Specialist to join our dynamic team in Brisbane. In this high-demand role, you will be instrumental in tracking sales performance, identifying market trends, and providing actionable insights to optimize our e-commerce strategies across multiple brands. You will leverage various data sources to monitor key performance indicators, conduct in-depth analysis, and generate reports that inform business decisions and drive online growth. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze e-commerce sales data, identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize key e-commerce metrics (e.g., conversion rates, average order value, customer lifetime value).
- Conduct deep-dive analysis on specific product categories, marketing campaigns, and customer segments to uncover opportunities and risks.
- Provide regular insights and recommendations to e-commerce, marketing, and product teams to improve performance.
- Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to ensure data accuracy and availability.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in e-commerce analytics.
- Assist in forecasting sales and identifying potential areas for growth or optimization.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in data analysis, particularly within an e-commerce or retail environment (minimum 3 years).
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Expertise with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Google Data Studio).
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas).
- Solid understanding of e-commerce metrics, online sales funnels, and customer behavior.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Tag Manager.
- Familiarity with Python or R for statistical analysis.
- Prior experience working with large datasets and data warehousing solutions.
- Understanding of A/B testing methodologies and experimental design.
- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field.
