Job Description

The Durham Region Social Services Department is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Trainee Social Worker Assistants. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist social workers and case managers with administrative tasks, record-keeping, and documentation.
  • Support clients by providing information about available community resources and services.

  • Observe and participate in client interviews and home visits under supervision.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines in all interactions.
  • Learn and apply social work principles, policies, and procedures.

Required Skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • A valid Ontario Class G Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle would be an asset.
