Job Description
Are you passionate about fashion and have a keen eye for unique vintage pieces? Goodwill Industries of Central Missouri is seeking an E-commerce Vintage Clothing Sorter to join our dynamic warehouse team in Columbia, MO. This on-site role is crucial to our e-commerce operations, where you will identify, evaluate, and process vintage clothing items for online sales. Your fashion sensibility and attention to detail will help us curate exceptional collections for our online customers, supporting our mission to provide job training and community services. Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and sort incoming donations to identify high-quality vintage clothing items suitable for e-commerce.
- Evaluate items for authenticity, condition, style, and market value.
- Clean, steam, and prepare garments for photography and listing.
- Accurately record product details, including measurements, fabric content, and any imperfections.
- Organize and store sorted inventory efficiently within the warehouse.
- Collaborate with the e-commerce team to ensure accurate product descriptions and timely listing.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and operational procedures.
Required Skills
- Strong passion for fashion, particularly vintage and retro styles.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify quality and condition issues.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry and inventory management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift (up to 30 lbs), bend, and reach throughout a shift.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail, merchandising, e-commerce, or a similar role.
- Knowledge of clothing brands, fabrics, and vintage fashion eras.
- Familiarity with online selling platforms (e.g., eBay, ShopGoodwill).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
