Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and physically capable E-Waste Dismantler / Recycler to join our team at our state-of-the-art indoor facility in Aberdeen. This hands-on role is critical to our commitment to environmental stewardship, involving the safe and efficient processing of electronic waste. You will be responsible for disassembling various electronic devices, sorting components for recycling or safe disposal, and ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations. This is a vital role for individuals who enjoy practical work and contributing to a greener future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently disassemble electronic waste (e.g., computers, TVs, appliances) using appropriate tools.
  • Identify and sort various materials such as plastics, metals, circuit boards, and batteries for proper recycling streams.
  • Operate basic machinery and equipment used in the e-waste processing facility.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Inspect dismantled components for potential hazards or reusable parts.
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials as required.

Required Skills

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail for identifying and sorting different materials.
  • Basic understanding of safety procedures in a warehouse or industrial environment.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good manual dexterity and proficiency with hand tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, production, or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with electronic waste handling or recycling processes.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to industrial operations.
