Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Electricians Mate to join our team in Didcot, Oxfordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to embark on a career in the electrical trade. You will work alongside experienced electricians, gaining valuable hands-on experience and learning the fundamentals of electrical installation, maintenance, and testing. Full training will be provided, making this an ideal role for someone with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist qualified electricians with various tasks on-site.
- Prepare and clear work areas, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Carry and fetch tools, materials, and equipment as required.
- Support in the installation of wiring, fixtures, and electrical components.
- Undertake basic manual tasks such as digging, lifting, and tidying.
- Learn to identify and use various electrical tools and equipment safely.
- Follow health and safety guidelines and company procedures diligently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work vehicles and storage areas.
Required Skills
- Strong willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Good physical fitness for manual tasks and working on construction sites.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Basic understanding of health and safety principles.
- Excellent team player with good communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid CSCS card.
- Full UK driving license.
- Previous experience in a construction or manual labor role (advantageous but not essential).
- Basic electrical knowledge or relevant vocational course.
