Job Description
We are seeking a talented and motivated Fintech Software Developer to join our dynamic team in York. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced developer passionate about financial technology to contribute to the creation of innovative solutions that will shape the future of financial services. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying robust, scalable, and secure software applications within our FinTech division. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality software solutions for financial products and services.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and implement new features.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing.
- Troubleshoot and debug production issues, providing timely resolutions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends in FinTech.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript (Node.js/React).
- Solid understanding of software development principles, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience with API design and development (RESTful services).
- Familiarity with database technologies (SQL/NoSQL).
- Understanding of financial concepts and FinTech trends.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
- Experience with agile development methodologies.
