Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Fleet Management & Transportation Intern to join our corporate office team in Lethbridge, AB. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the dynamic world of logistics and supply chain management within a leading Canadian retailer. You will support our transportation department in optimizing fleet operations, improving efficiency, and contributing to strategic initiatives. This role is designed for individuals eager to learn, contribute, and build a foundational understanding of transportation logistics, with full training provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the collection and analysis of fleet data, including fuel consumption, maintenance records, and route efficiency.
  • Support the tracking of vehicle movements and shipments using internal systems.
  • Participate in projects aimed at optimizing transportation routes and schedules.
  • Help prepare reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) for fleet operations.
  • Collaborate with team members on initiatives to enhance safety and compliance within the transportation network.
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to fleet documentation and record-keeping.
  • Research and identify best practices in fleet management and sustainable transportation.
  • Support the procurement and management of transportation services.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our supply chain processes.
