Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Food Service Assistants to join our dedicated team in Wodonga. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals passionate about contributing to a positive environment for patients and residents in both hospital and aged care settings. You will play a crucial role in ensuring nutritious and appealing meals are delivered with care and according to dietary needs. Full training will be provided to the successful candidate, focusing on food hygiene, service standards, and patient interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve meals, snacks, and beverages to patients and residents, adhering to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision.
- Clean and maintain kitchen areas, dining rooms, and equipment to high hygiene standards.
- Collect and wash dishes, cutlery, and cooking utensils.
- Monitor food temperatures and ensure safe food handling practices are followed.
- Restock food supplies and manage inventory as directed.
- Interact with patients, residents, and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
- Report any concerns regarding food service or patient dietary needs to the supervisor.
