Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and driven Footwear Design Intern to join our athletic brands team in Rotherham. This internship offers an unparalleled opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the footwear design process, from conceptualization to prototyping. You will work closely with experienced designers, learning industry best practices and contributing to real-world projects for athletic footwear. This is an entry-level position designed for individuals eager to start their career in footwear design, providing comprehensive training and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior designers in researching market trends, materials, and color palettes for upcoming collections.
- Support the creation of design sketches, technical drawings, and 3D renderings using design software.
- Prepare design boards and presentations for internal reviews.
- Organize and maintain design libraries, including material swatches and sample prototypes.
- Participate in design critiques and team meetings, contributing fresh perspectives and ideas.
- Learn about manufacturing processes and material selection for athletic footwear.
- Support administrative tasks related to the design department as needed.
Required Skills
- Basic proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Strong passion for footwear, athletic brands, and design
