Job Description
Are you looking to kickstart a rewarding career in logistics and warehousing but don’t have the necessary qualifications? Woolworths Group is offering a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to join our team in Tuggerah as a Forklift Trainee. We believe in investing in our people, which is why we will cover the full cost of your forklift license training and provide comprehensive, ongoing on-the-job support. This is a full-time, ongoing position designed for individuals with no prior experience who are eager to learn, develop new skills, and become an integral part of our dynamic supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively participate in and complete all required forklift training modules.
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently after obtaining your license, under supervision.
- Assist with the loading, unloading, and movement of goods within the warehouse.
- Perform daily pre-start checks on equipment and report any faults.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
Required Skills
- A strong commitment to safety and workplace procedures.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and learn quickly.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Physical fitness to perform manual tasks as required.
- Willingness to commit to obtaining a forklift license and ongoing training.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or manual handling environment (not essential, but a plus).
- Basic computer skills for data entry or inventory management.
- A positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a team.
