Job Description

Join the Costa Group team as a Fruit Picker on our Central Coast farm in Gosford, NSW! This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking seasonal work, particularly those looking to complete the 88 days of specified work required for a second or third Working Holiday Visa (subclass 417 or 462). We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to assist with the harvesting of various fruits. No prior experience is necessary as full training will be provided. Key Responsibilities

  • Carefully pick and harvest various fruits according to quality standards and picking guidelines.
  • Sort and pack picked fruit into appropriate containers or bins.
  • Operate basic farm equipment safely after receiving training (if required).
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and food safety standards.
  • Work efficiently and productively, individually and as part of a team.

Required Skills

  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods.
  • Physical fitness and ability to lift and carry moderate weights (up to 15kg).
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in horticulture or agricultural work (beneficial but not essential).
  • Valid driver's license and access to transport (beneficial for commuting if not using provided accommodation).
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
