Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Further Education Lecturer to join our esteemed faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students across various further education programs. This role involves curriculum development, assessment, and providing pastoral support to ensure student success and progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons and learning activities to students.
- Develop and update curriculum materials in line with awarding body specifications and industry standards.
- Assess student work, provide constructive feedback, and track progress against learning outcomes.
- Provide academic and pastoral support to students, fostering a positive learning environment.
- Participate in departmental meetings, staff development, and quality improvement activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievement, and progression.
- Contribute to the wider life of the college through extracurricular activities and events.
Required Skills
- Hold a recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, CertEd, DTLLS) or commitment to obtain one.
- Proven experience in teaching within a Further Education setting.
- Excellent subject knowledge relevant to further education curriculum areas.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and virtual learning environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Master's degree in a relevant subject area.
- Experience in curriculum design and quality assurance.
- Relevant industry experience in the subject area being taught.
