Job Description
Join Amazon UK as a Virtual Product Photographer and contribute to showcasing our diverse range of products. This is a unique opportunity to work from the comfort of your own home, receiving products directly to your doorstep for high-quality photography sessions. You will be responsible for capturing engaging and accurate images that meet Amazon’s strict visual guidelines, helping millions of customers make informed purchasing decisions. We are seeking individuals with an eye for detail and a passion for photography, eager to learn and grow within a flexible and supportive remote environment. Full training on Amazon’s product photography standards and best practices will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive products shipped directly to your home studio setup.
- Photograph products according to Amazon's detailed style guides and specifications.
- Ensure consistent lighting, composition, and color accuracy in all images.
- Perform basic image editing (cropping, resizing, minor color correction) as needed.
- Organize and upload high-resolution images to the designated platform within deadlines.
- Maintain clear communication with the photography coordination team.
- Manage and track products sent for photography, ensuring their safe return or disposal instructions are followed.
- Continuously improve photography skills and stay updated with Amazon's evolving visual standards.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of photography principles (lighting, composition, exposure).
- Familiarity with digital cameras (DSLR or mirrorless) and basic studio equipment.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Reliable internet connection and a dedicated space for photography.
- Basic computer proficiency and comfort with online collaboration tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with product photography, either amateur or professional.
- Knowledge of image editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom).
- Prior experience working in a remote capacity.
- Ability to set up a small home studio with appropriate lighting and backdrops.
