Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Genetics & Molecular Biology Intern to join our dynamic research team. This is an unparalleled opportunity for a student or recent graduate eager to gain hands-on experience in a professional laboratory setting. You will work alongside experienced scientists, contributing to active research projects and learning fundamental laboratory techniques. This entry-level position is designed to provide comprehensive training and mentorship, making it ideal for individuals with limited prior lab experience but a strong passion for genetics and molecular biology. The intern will support ongoing experiments, contribute to data collection, and assist in the general upkeep of the lab, ensuring a smooth and productive research environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist researchers with the preparation of reagents, media, and solutions.
- Perform basic molecular biology techniques, such as DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, and gel electrophoresis, under supervision.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of experimental procedures and results.
- Contribute to the organization and inventory management of laboratory supplies and samples.
- Learn and adhere to all laboratory safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
- Prepare and sterilize lab equipment and glassware.
- Participate in lab meetings and seminars to discuss research progress and findings.
- Conduct literature reviews to support ongoing research projects.
Required Skills
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a relevant Bachelor's degree program (e.g., Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology).
