Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and efficient Ghost Kitchen Food Prepper to join our back-of-house team. This is an immediate start, full-time position focused solely on food preparation within our state-of-the-art ghost kitchen facility. The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual eager to learn and contribute to a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for accurately measuring, portioning, and preparing ingredients according to recipes and strict hygiene standards. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start their career in culinary operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute daily food preparation tasks including washing, chopping, slicing, and dicing a variety of ingredients (vegetables, meats, etc.)
- Accurately measure and portion ingredients according to recipe specifications and production sheets
- Assist with basic cooking tasks such as grilling, frying, or boiling as directed by kitchen leads
- Organize and store prepared ingredients in designated areas, ensuring proper labeling and rotation (FIFO)
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, including regular cleaning of equipment and surfaces
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines (HACCP) and company policies
- Support the culinary team in various back-of-house functions to ensure smooth operation
- Receive and properly store incoming inventory, verifying against invoices as needed
Required Skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Basic understanding of kitchen safety practices (training provided)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment (even non-professional)
- Familiarity with food safety regulations (e.g., Food Handler’s Certificate, but not required for hire)
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
