Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated GIS Intern to join our dynamic team for a Spatial Data Mapping Placement. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals eager to start their career in Geographic Information Systems. You will gain hands-on experience with real-world projects, learn industry-standard software, and develop fundamental skills in spatial data management, analysis, and visualization. Full training and mentorship will be provided, ensuring you build a strong foundation in GIS principles and applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with data collection, input, and maintenance of geospatial datasets.
- Perform basic spatial analysis under supervision.
- Create and update maps and other geographic visualizations.
- Support senior GIS specialists in various project tasks.
- Contribute to data quality control and assurance processes.
- Research and gather geographic information from diverse sources.
- Learn and apply GIS software, including ArcGIS Pro and QGIS.
- Document workflows and methodologies for spatial data processing.
