Job Description
Join our team at Cargill’s Pensacola facility as a Grain Silo Sweeper. This vital role involves maintaining the cleanliness and operational efficiency of our grain storage silos and surrounding areas. You will be responsible for sweeping, shoveling, and operating basic cleaning equipment in a dusty environment, ensuring our facilities meet high safety and quality standards. No prior experience is required; we provide comprehensive on-the-job training to all new team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular sweeping and shoveling to remove grain dust and debris from silo floors, walls, and equipment.
- Operate industrial vacuums and other cleaning tools safely and efficiently.
- Assist with general site clean-up and housekeeping duties.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and procedures, including confined space entry and dust explosion prevention.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors immediately.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a dusty environment.
