Job Description
Are you a night owl with a keen eye for detail? Sainsbury’s in Hove is looking for dedicated and efficient Shelf Facers to join our night shift team. In this crucial role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring our store aisles are perfectly stocked, tidy, and visually appealing for our morning customers. You’ll work methodically to replenish shelves, rotate products, and maintain the high standards our customers expect. This is a hands-on role perfect for someone who enjoys physical work and takes pride in a job well done. Full training will be provided, so no prior experience is necessary – just a willingness to learn and a positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently replenish stock on shelves, ensuring correct placement and rotation.
- Organize and front-face products to ensure a neat, tidy, and attractive display.
- Check for damaged or expired goods and remove them from sale.
- Assist with stock counts and inventory management as required.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the aisles and stockroom.
- Follow all store policies and procedures, especially regarding health and safety.
- Work collaboratively with other night shift colleagues to achieve team goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to work consistently during night hours.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
- Good physical stamina, capable of lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures.
- Basic understanding of English for safety instructions and team communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail or warehouse environment (not essential, full training provided).
- Familiarity with stock rotation principles (e.g., FIFO – First In, First Out).
