Job Description
Are you looking for an immediate start in a secure and fast-paced environment? DPD in Bradford is seeking dedicated Parcel Sorters to join our night shift team. No prior experience is necessary as full training will be provided to ensure you become proficient in all aspects of the role. This is a crucial position within our distribution network, responsible for accurately sorting parcels and ensuring they reach their correct destinations on time. You will be working as part of a supportive team, contributing to the efficient flow of goods across the UK. Key Responsibilities
- Manually sorting parcels by destination postcode or other criteria.
- Loading and unloading vehicles with parcels.
- Scanning parcels accurately using handheld devices.
- Working efficiently and safely to meet tight deadlines.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Reporting any damaged parcels or operational issues to supervisors.
Required Skills
- Ability to work night shifts consistently.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift and move parcels up to 20kg.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of English for safety instructions.
