Novotel Newcastle Beach is seeking a vibrant and dedicated Part-time Guest Experience Host to join our dynamic resort team on a day roster. In this pivotal role, you will be the heart of our guest interactions, from warm welcomes to efficient problem-solving, ensuring every visitor enjoys a seamless and delightful stay. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and genuinely enjoy connecting with people. You will be responsible for creating a positive first impression and assisting guests with various needs throughout their stay, contributing significantly to their overall experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and assist with efficient check-in/check-out procedures.
- Provide comprehensive information about hotel services, facilities, local attractions, and dining options.
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and resolve any issues or complaints promptly, professionally, and with empathy.
- Maintain a tidy, organized, and inviting front desk and lobby area, ensuring a positive aesthetic for guests.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as processing payments, managing reservations, and maintaining guest records.
- Uphold the highest standards of guest service and hospitality at all times, reflecting the Novotel brand.
- Collaborate effectively with other hotel departments (e.g., housekeeping, food & beverage) to ensure seamless guest satisfaction.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a busy and dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer systems and willingness to learn hotel-specific software.
- A genuine passion for providing outstanding customer service and creating positive guest experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (e.g., 6-12 months) in a hospitality, front desk, or customer service role, preferably within a hotel or resort setting.
- Knowledge of the local Newcastle area, including tourist attractions, events, and dining establishments.
- Ability to speak multiple languages will be highly regarded.
- Familiarity with hotel management software (e.g., Opera PMS).
