Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in an intensive paid training program to learn all aspects of water treatment plant operations.
- Under close supervision, assist in monitoring plant equipment and process control systems using SCADA and other tools.
- Learn to collect and analyze water samples, performing basic laboratory tests.
- Assist in the routine maintenance, inspection, and cleaning of plant machinery and facilities.
- Develop an understanding of regulatory compliance and safety procedures for water treatment.
- Shadow experienced operators to gain practical experience in troubleshooting and operational adjustments.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of plant operations and water quality data.
- Respond to and assist with operational emergencies or equipment malfunctions as directed.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid U.S. Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Ability to comprehend and follow complex instructions and safety protocols.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
- Strong commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.
- Eagerness to learn and develop a long-term career in water treatment.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
