Job Description

Blue Care is seeking enthusiastic and compassionate individuals to join our team as Home Care Support Workers in Gladstone. This is an entry-level position, perfect for those with no prior experience in aged care or disability support. Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care support, including showering, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Assist clients with mobility and transfers, using appropriate equipment when necessary.
- Support clients with light domestic duties such as meal preparation, tidying, and laundry.
- Assist with grocery shopping and other errands, promoting client independence.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities.
- Administer medication prompts and assist with record-keeping as required.
- Observe and report any changes in clients' health or well-being to the care coordinator.
- Adhere to individualised care plans and Blue Care's policies and procedures.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for clients.
Required Skills
- Valid Australian Driver's License and reliable, registered, and insured vehicle.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A compassionate and empathetic nature.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to undertake paid training and continuous professional development.
- Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain one).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service or support role.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
- Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or Disability (not essential, but highly regarded).
