Job Description

Direct Line Group is seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Trainee Insurance Claims Adjusters. This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity within our Milton Keynes office, designed for candidates with little to no prior experience in insurance. You will receive comprehensive, full-time training to equip you with all the necessary skills to manage a diverse portfolio of insurance claims from initial notification through to settlement. This desk-based role focuses on property claims, providing a crucial service to our customers during challenging times. Key Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in a structured, comprehensive training program to learn claims adjusting processes and systems.
  • Under the guidance of experienced adjusters, handle incoming property claims efficiently and empathetically.
  • Communicate professionally with policyholders, third parties, and internal stakeholders via phone and email.
  • Gather and analyse information pertinent to claims, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Document all claim activities thoroughly and accurately in the claims management system.
  • Assist in determining coverage, liability, and quantum for assigned claims.
  • Adhere to strict service level agreements and compliance standards.
  • Continuously develop knowledge of insurance products, policies, and industry best practices.
