Job Description
We are seeking a talented and motivated Intellectual Property (IP) Lawyer to join our dynamic team in Nottingham. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with experience in IP law to manage a varied caseload, provide expert advice to clients, and contribute to the growth of our highly regarded IP practice. You will be instrumental in protecting our clients’ innovations and brands in a fast-paced and evolving legal landscape. This is a hybrid role, combining office presence with flexible remote work.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on intellectual property rights including patents, trademarks, copyright, and design rights.
- Draft, review, and negotiate IP-related agreements such as licensing, assignments, and R&D collaborations.
- Manage IP portfolios, including prosecution and maintenance of trademarks and designs.
- Conduct IP due diligence for corporate transactions.
- Handle IP disputes and enforcement actions, including litigation support.
- Provide strategic IP advice to clients across various industries.
- Stay abreast of developments in IP law and practice.
Required Skills
- Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales.
- Minimum 3 years Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) in Intellectual Property law.
- Strong understanding of UK and EU IP legislation.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage a diverse caseload independently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with international IP matters.
- Prior experience working in a leading national or international law firm.
- Additional language skills.
- Specialisation in a particular IP field (e.g., life sciences, tech).
