Job Description
Are you a proactive and enthusiastic individual eager to kickstart your career in event management? MONA is offering a fantastic paid internship opportunity for an Event Junior to join our dynamic events team. This role is designed for someone with a passion for planning and executing unique experiences, and who is ready to learn from industry professionals. You will gain hands-on experience across various aspects of event coordination, from initial concept to successful delivery, within a world-renowned cultural institution. No prior professional experience is required; we are looking for a keen learner who is ready to immerse themselves and develop valuable skills. Full training and mentorship will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the planning and coordination of various MONA events, including exhibitions, festivals, and private functions.
- Support the events team in administrative tasks such as scheduling, vendor communication, and documentation.
- Help with event setup and takedown, including venue preparation, décor placement, and equipment management.
- Provide on-site support during events, assisting with guest registration, crowd management, and problem-solving.
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions for event concepts and logistics.
- Research potential suppliers, venues, and entertainment options.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during event execution.
- Assist with post-event analysis and reporting, including feedback collection and data entry.
