Job Description

Are you a budding creative looking to kickstart your career? Target Australia is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Studio Junior Intern to join our vibrant in-house creative team in Geelong. This paid internship is designed for individuals with little to no professional experience, offering hands-on learning and mentorship in a fast-paced retail creative environment. You’ll work alongside experienced designers, photographers, and marketers, contributing to real projects that impact our national brand. This is a unique opportunity to gain practical experience, build your portfolio, and develop essential skills in a supportive and collaborative studio setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior designers and art directors with day-to-day creative tasks, including asset preparation and minor adjustments.
• Support photography and videography shoots, including set preparation, prop management, and post-production assistance.
• Organise and maintain digital asset libraries, ensuring files are correctly tagged and easily accessible.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions, contributing fresh ideas and creative perspectives.
• Conduct research on current design trends, competitor activities, and industry best practices.
• Help prepare presentations and mock-ups for internal and external stakeholders.
• Perform administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the creative studio.
• Learn and apply brand guidelines across various creative outputs.

Required Skills

• Demonstrated passion for design, photography, or visual communication.
• Basic understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or similar creative software.
• Strong desire to learn and grow within a creative professional environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• High level of attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative.
• No prior professional experience required – full training will be provided.

Preferred Qualifications
