Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Inventory Control Clerk to join our team in Geelong. This is an essential on-site role involving shift work (day, afternoon, and night shifts may be required), focused solely on accurate inventory management. This position does not involve customer service or phone interactions. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the integrity of our inventory records through meticulous counting, data entry, and discrepancy resolution. Key Responsibilities
- Perform accurate cycle counts and physical inventory counts of various products and materials.
- Reconcile inventory discrepancies by investigating variances and making necessary adjustments.
- Maintain precise inventory records using our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining the physical layout of the warehouse for optimal efficiency.
- Identify and report slow-moving or obsolete stock.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Work effectively as part of a team during assigned shifts.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to work accurately with numbers and maintain meticulous records.
- Basic computer proficiency, including experience with data entry systems.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical fitness to perform tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and occasionally lifting up to 15kg.
- Availability to work various shifts, including days, afternoons, and nights, as required by operational needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a warehouse or inventory control environment.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Current forklift license (LF or LO class) is highly regarded but not essential.
- Experience with inventory reconciliation processes.
