Key Responsibilities

  • Provide continuous, compassionate care and companionship to clients in their homes.
  • Assist clients with personal care activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed, ensuring dietary preferences are met.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, laundry, and maintain a tidy and safe living environment.
  • Assist with medication reminders and ensure timely adherence to schedules.
  • Accompany clients to appointments, run errands, and participate in social activities.
  • Engage clients in stimulating activities, conversation, and hobbies to promote mental and emotional well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and communicate regularly with family members and care managers.
  • Ensure the safety and comfort of the client at all times.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (beneficial for personal time off, but not for client transport in this live-in role).
  • First Aid and CPR certification (can be obtained during training).
  • Previous experience living with or caring for an elderly family member.
