Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated High School Mathematics Teacher to join our dynamic team for the upcoming academic year. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with Alberta Education curriculum standards for high school mathematics.

  • Create a positive, inclusive, and challenging classroom environment conducive to learning for diverse student needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administration to support student success and well-being.
  • Participate in school activities, professional development, and extra-curricular programs as required.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to meet different learning styles.

Required Skills

  • Valid Alberta teaching certificate or eligibility for one.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and passion for high school mathematics curriculum (Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, Statistics).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Education or Mathematics.
  • Previous experience teaching high school mathematics.
  • Experience with diverse student populations and inclusive teaching practices.
  • Proficiency in educational technology and online learning platforms.
