Job Description

Siemens AG is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Mechanical Engineer with a specialization in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and analyze complex HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, ventilation, and air quality control.
  • Perform detailed calculations for heat load, air flow, pressure drop, and energy efficiency.
  • Develop technical specifications, drawings, and schematics in compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ASHRAE, VDI).
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, architects, and project managers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and commissioning support for HVAC installations.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate HVAC equipment, materials, and technologies.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for energy optimization and sustainable design.
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in HVAC system design and engineering (minimum 3 years).
  • Proficiency with HVAC design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP, Trane Trace).
  • Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer principles.
  • Knowledge of relevant national and international HVAC codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with building automation systems (BAS) and smart building technologies.
  • Familiarity with German building codes and standards (e.g., VDI guidelines).
  • Proficiency in German language (B1 level or higher).
  • Experience in sustainable design practices (e.g., LEED, BREEAM).
