Job Description
Join Rotech Healthcare Inc. as a Medical Equipment Delivery & Setup Driver in Chattanooga, TN. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery, installation, and setup of medical equipment, including hospital beds, oxygen concentrators, and other home medical devices, directly to patients’ homes or healthcare facilities. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the physical ability to safely manage and set up equipment. Full training will be provided on all medical equipment installation and safety protocols, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in healthcare logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely load, transport, and unload medical equipment, including hospital beds, to various locations.
- Deliver and set up medical equipment in patients' homes or facilities according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Provide clear and concise instructions to patients and caregivers on the proper use and maintenance of equipment.
- Perform minor repairs and adjustments on equipment as needed.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery tickets and patient forms, accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the company vehicle and warehouse.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Participate in on-call rotations as required.
- Represent Rotech Healthcare Inc. professionally and courteously at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy medical equipment (up to 75 lbs) independently and with assistance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment setup and troubleshooting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in delivery or logistics.
- Customer service experience in a healthcare or related field.
- Familiarity with medical terminology or equipment.
