Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Mobile IV Therapy Dispatcher to join our dynamic healthcare team. This is a critical administrative role in a fast-paced environment, responsible for efficiently coordinating and dispatching our mobile IV therapy nurses to patient locations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a calm demeanor under pressure, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively to ensure timely and professional patient service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming calls and requests for mobile IV therapy services from patients and healthcare providers.
  • Efficiently schedule and dispatch mobile IV therapy nurses based on location, availability, and urgency.
  • Utilize dispatch software and mapping tools to optimize routes and ensure timely arrivals.
  • Communicate effectively with nurses on the road, providing necessary updates and support.
  • Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities, patient information, and service logs.
  • Handle patient inquiries, provide service information, and address scheduling concerns with professionalism.
  • Collaborate with nursing supervisors and other administrative staff to ensure seamless operations.
  • Monitor real-time progress of mobile units and troubleshoot any logistical issues that may arise.
  • Prepare daily dispatch summaries and reports as required.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in dispatch, administrative support, or customer service, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in using computers, dispatch software, and basic office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or higher in a related field.
  • Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare dispatch or scheduling role.
