Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented NDIS Claims Specialist with a strong finance background to join our remote team. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate and timely processing of National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) claims, reconciling payments, and providing financial support within our disability services portfolio. You will leverage your expertise in financial administration and NDIS regulations to optimize our claims process and maintain high standards of compliance and customer satisfaction. This is a remote-first position, offering the flexibility to work from your home office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and reconcile NDIS claims with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage client funding allocations and track expenditure against NDIS plans.
  • Liaise with NDIS participants, support coordinators, and the NDIA regarding claims, queries, and payment issues.
  • Prepare financial reports and summaries related to NDIS funding and expenditure.
  • Ensure all claims comply with NDIS guidelines and internal financial policies.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or rejected claims promptly.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of NDIS legislation and policy changes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., client services, accounting) to ensure seamless service delivery and financial management.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in financial administration or claims processing.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reconciliation.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a high volume of tasks remotely.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with NDIS claims or disability services funding.
  • Formal qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience using specific NDIS claims management software.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory guidelines.
