Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Occupational Health Intern to join our Corporate Wellness team in Bath. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to gain practical experience in occupational health and corporate wellness within a dynamic healthcare organization. You will support various initiatives aimed at promoting employee wellbeing, safety, and productivity. This role is designed to provide comprehensive exposure to the field, with mentorship and training provided throughout your internship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of corporate wellness programs.
  • Support the Occupational Health team with administrative tasks and project coordination.
  • Conduct research on best practices in occupational health and employee wellbeing.
  • Help organize and facilitate health promotion events and workshops.
  • Contribute to the creation of communication materials for wellness initiatives.
  • Participate in data collection and analysis related to program effectiveness.
  • Shadow experienced professionals to learn about case management and risk assessments.

Required Skills

  • Strong interest in occupational health, public health, or corporate wellness.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree program in a health-related field (e.g., Public Health, Occupational Therapy, Health Promotion, Human Resources with a focus on wellness).
  • Basic understanding of health and safety principles.
