Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team in Denver, CO. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations for pediatric patients with diverse developmental needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focusing on fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and cognitive functions.
- Provide direct therapy services in one-on-one and group settings, adapting interventions to meet each child's unique goals.
- Collaborate effectively with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic care.
- Educate families on therapeutic techniques and strategies for home implementation to maximize patient progress.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities.
- Advocate for the needs of children and their families within the healthcare system and community.
Required Skills
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current or eligible for Colorado Occupational Therapist license.
- Clinical experience in pediatric occupational therapy (minimum 2 years).
- Strong understanding of child development and common pediatric diagnoses.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with sensory integration therapy techniques.
- Knowledge of various standardized pediatric assessment tools.
- Previous experience working with a diverse patient population.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
